    Acty discusses her life in the Bay Area and career in Berkeley, as an elementary, middle, and adult school teacher and as teacher of English as a second language; desegregation in Berkeley schools; experiences with racism in Berkeley. Longtime friend Jerri Lange is also interviewed about her recollections of Acty and experiences of racism in Berkeley schools.
