Abstract: Dr. George Eldon Ladd (1911 - 1982) joined the Fuller Seminary faculty in 1950 as one of its first professors of New Testament theology. Dr. Ladd's academic work emphasizing Historic Premillennialism challenged the more widely held evangelical view supporting Dispensationalism. Dr. Ladd is recognized for coining the terms "inaugurated eschatology" and "futuristic post-tribulationism." His best-known work, "A Theology of the New Testament" (1974) remains one of the most widely used theological textbooks for seminary students, and a key component of Kingdom theology. Materials within the collection include manuscript writings, published articles, correspondence, personal notes, bibliographical files, and digital photographs.

Ladd's personal book collection was donated to the Fuller Theological Seminary Library. The books were combined into a single group known as the "Harrison-Ladd" collection. The collection is integrated with the general collection with distinguishing labels.
