Encyclopédie, ou dictionnaire raisonné des sciences, des arts et des métiers (
Encyclopaedia, or a Systematic Dictionary of the Sciences, Arts, and Crafts) is an encyclopedia published in France between 1751-1772 and edited by Denis Diderot. This collection consists of engraving
plates by Robert Bénard (1734-1777) for the 1763 edition. The plates were likely pulled from one volume of the
Encyclopédie.

Biographical History
Encyclopédie, ou dictionnaire raisonné des sciences, des arts et des métiers (
Encyclopaedia, or a Systematic Dictionary of the Sciences, Arts, and Crafts) is an encyclopedia published in France between 1751-1772 and edited by Denis Diderot. Robert Benard (1734-1777) was a French
engraver who engraved more than 1800 plates for Diderot's
Encyclopédie.

This collection consists of engraving plates by Robert Bénard (1734-1777) for the 1763 edition of Diderot's
Encyclopédie. They are likely pulled from a single volume of supplemental plates.
