who started the Women In Film Foundation. The collection consists of files related to Margot Winchester's tenure as chair
of the Women in Film Foundation in the 1990s.
Background
Margot Winchester is a producer, developer/writer, and consultant in the entertainment industry. She holds a BA from Boston
University, and attended Graduate School of Film at New York University. She has had a diversified career in television, syndication,
video, interactive media and has developed and produced projects in both fictional and documentary television since the 1970s.
She was one the women in the 1980s who started the Women In Film Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Women In Film, and served
as chair of the Foundation in the 1990s.
