Post-binder oblong quarto photo album with 64 unpaginated pages, on thick black paper stock (20 with photos mounted). Holds
42 original photographs sized from 2.5 x 3.5 in. up to 3.5 x 5.75 in., most with neat annotations in white ink. Contemporary
embossed flexible black board post-binder, punch-sewn at gutter margin with gold silk braid.
Date: 1931
Abstract: Photo album depicting the travels and business of Earl Smith, an up-and-coming Modesto, California Chevrolet dealership owner
in 1931.

Photo album with 42 original photographs depicting a fishing trip in the California-Oregon mountains, the Walter Hinton Exchange
Club Tour to Modesto in 1931, the Angels Camp Jumping Frog Jubilee, and several of the Smith Evens Chevrolet dealership in
Modesto, California. Walter Hinton (1888-1981) is featured in some photographs. Hinton was a Navy pilot of a four-engine Navy-Curtiss
Flying Boat which was the first plane to cross the Atlantic in 1919, landing in Portugal.
