Abstract: The L. James Beales Collection of Polk Street Bar Memorabilia includes flyers, invitations, photographs, t shirts and artifacts
primarily from the Rendezvous, which closed in 1998. There is also material from the Q.T., Reflections and other Polk Street
bars.
The collection also includes two cartons of buttons collection dating from the 1970s through 2005, with themes including politics,
gay and lesbian rights, safe sex, and San Francisco bars.
