Series Description

This series includes bylaws, meeting minutes, board of director material, reports, publicity material, membership records, correspondence, legislation and election campaign information, and other material, 1982-1995, from the Eleanor Roosevelt Democratic Club (ERDC) of Orange County where Kaye served as co-chair along with John Duran. Included are campaign records documenting the ERDC's work in support of Tom Umberg for Assembly.

Series Description

This series includes board of director meeting minutes and reports, advisory council documents, legislation information, financial records, publicity material, events and campaign activity records, workshop material and other documents, 1979-1995, from the bi-partisan political action committee, Elections Committee of the County of Orange (ECCO), where Kaye was a founding board member. Notably, materials document Kaye's work on the advisory council, as well as her instrumental role in organizing the Putting Lesbians in Power workshops.

Irvine Citizens United Series 3.  1987-1993

Series Description

This series includes advisory board material, legal documents, legislation campaign records, election campaign records, financial records, publicity and outreach material, a poster and other documents, 1987-1993, from Irvine Citizens United, a group that formed to defeat Measure N, a referendum that would remove gays and lesbians from the city's Human Rights Ordinance. Kaye served as ICU's spokesperson and materials document the group's extensive outreach efforts.

Orange County Federation of Lesbian, Gay & AIDS Support Organizations Series 4.  1989-1996

Series Description

This series includes conference administrative records, conference and workshop curriculum, financial records, publicity material, event records, correspondence, and other material, 1989-1996, from the Orange County Federation of Lesbian, Gay and AIDS Support Organizations, where Kaye was a founding member and spearheaded its Leadership Training Program (LTP). The bulk of this series is material from LTP, an annual program to train board members representing approximately 30 organizations in Orange County. The Federation also organized the Take Pride Awards to honor local activists, businesses and health care agencies.

Arrangement

The bulk of this series maintains the donor's original order and is approximately grouped by year; for each year, folders are arranged alphabetically. Materials with unknown dates are placed at the end of this series.

Series Description

This series includes correspondence, Lisa Kaye's arrest record, legislation and election campaign documents, event and conference materials, subject files, newsletters, awards, publicity material, a VHS videocassette, and other material, 1975-1996, from the numerous organizations, campaigns and committees in which Kaye was involved. Materials document Kaye's work in the campaigns against Proposition 6 (1978), Proposition 64 (1986), and Proposition 102 (1988); and the campaign supporting Assembly Bill 101 (1991). Documents show Kaye's involvement with the Gay and Lesbian Community Services Center of Orange County, the LIFE AIDS Lobby, the Whitman-Brooks Foundation and several other organizations, including Jewish and women's groups.
