    Biographical Note

The Romero Guitar Quartet was founded in 1960 by Celedonio Romero and included his sons Angel, Celin, and Pepe as well as his grandsons Celino and Lito. Celedonio Romero was a renowned soloist in Spain and introduced his three sons to guitar at a very young age with all making their musical debut by age 7. In 1957, the family moved from Spain to the United States and formed the quartet whose music centered around the romantic and baroque styles played on guitar. The quartet has achieved international notoriety and success playing at venues throughout the world since the 1960s and became a multi-generational ensemble when Celedonio's grandsons joined the quartet as replacements for Angel and Celedonio.
