photography. Correspondence and receipts from travels in Southeast Asia in the 1920s and 1930s. A typewritten inventory of
the slides indicates the source of each image.

Biography/Administrative History
Mary Floyd Williams received a PhD from UC Berkeley in 1919 with her dissertation "History of the San Francisco Committee
of Vigilance of 1851: a study of social control on the California frontier in the days of the gold rush." She traveled extensively
in Southeast Asia in the 1920s and 1930s, and was registered as a lecturer for UC Extension in Berkeley in the 1940s.
