Howard R. Cohen was an American screenwriter and director active in film and television from 1972 to 1992. His theatrical films were generally low-budget productions, and his television films were primarily animated series. He wrote nine films and directed three for producer Roger Corman. He also collaborated with Janusz Kaminski, producer and director Martin Scorsese, and director Jonathan Demme.
The Howard R. Cohen papers span the years 1963-1998 and encompass 26 linear feet. The collection contains primarily film and television scripts, treatments, script notes, and miscellaneous production material.
