Skyscrapers, western hotel chains, international banks, car dealerships, and smart shops now engulf Notre Dame Cathedral in
old downtown Saigon. The former southern capital, now called Ho Chi Minh City, is Vietnam's largest city with a population
of more than five million. More than half of the nation's industry and commerce is centered in Ho Chi Minh City.
