letterhead 1 Sept. 10 1913 My dear Muir: I know that you will be pleased to know that the Board of Education Pasadena
City schools have seen fit to call the building which was our Old high school (which is the finest building by far, in Pasadena
of any of our 20 school houses, with the exception of our new High School Plant costing 600.000.00) The John Muir School.?
I want to say also that 40000 other people are honored and proud of this opportunity to show our love for the 05533 2
letterhead name of John Muir and now shall be most pleased to show you about your Monument when down this way which I hope
will be soon. I am not authorized to break this word to you but taking my own liberty to mention it. The board will probably
do so in a more formal manner later. I have promised to place a complete set of John Muirs works suitably bound in the building
I am anxious to have you autograph 05533
