Menlo Park, 26 July, 1905 - Dear Mr Muir: Katharine Graydon has been with us, and has told us how you are now in the deep
waters. Let me express the hope that they will not quite go over you. It makes me sad to think I am likely never again to
see Mrs. Muir, whom I had learned to respect so deeply. I can only hope and pray that fate may deal kindly with her, and with
you. I am thinking much of you these days, dear friend. How hard it must be for you all to have to leave 03593
