This is a bright and very fine day. Feel much better Prof. N visited me a few moments, he has to return tomorrow how much
I should liked to have gone with him but I cannont as my furlough has not returned. Was also visited by an old friend [illegible]
formerly of the 108th. Shoulder painful.
Rather [illegible] and damp. Prof [illegible] came and bid me goodbye I hopd to see him soon in Rochester, feel rather low
spirited but look forward with hope to the time when I shall see home. It is very tiresome to have to lie in bed all day.
