From my Judith. Faithful to duty to your love be true; In search of fame, Oh! Let not death be near, In the stern fight where glory you persue, In that dread hour, oh! "do not me forget." For glory [illegible] chase my arms you have [wherever] you go my heart will [surely] be; when [memory] [illegible] shall your [name] [recieve] when [illegible] clam you, some [illegible] [think] of me. [blank] ------------------------------ July 12, Tuesday. From My Judith. Faithful to duty to your love be true In search of fame. Oh! Let not death be met In the stern fight where glory you pursue In that dread hour, Oh! Do not forget me. For glorys giddy chase my arms you have Wherever you go my heart will surely be When memory’s temple shall your name receive When home claims you, sometime think of me. [2.] Note: 2. Judith’s poetic endeavours, like Henry’s, leave something to be desired but such is love.
