letterhead St. LOUIS, MO., Nov 8th 1907 Dear Mr Muir, There is to be an important and what will prove an influential
meeting of the Trans Mississippi Commercial Congress, at M illegible togee, Oklahoma, on Novr (this month.) 19th to 22d. and
if you can send me the substance of what you may deem best to have presented as a resolution on forestry, with the phase of
preserving the Yosemite from a division of its streams or its c illegible one, I will endeavor to present it favorably and
to the best of my ability. I am still as earnest as ever in support of those great reservations of forests mountains, for
the general welfare, and capable of making myself heard attentively by an intelligent company With great respect Yours
