1219 Taylor St S.F. Tuesday Dear Louie, Your letter arrived yesterday I was glad to hear that you were well the children.
I am pegging away making dull slow headway though improving now that the squirrels chinamen grapes are out of me. Saw Haufner?
- He told me that Mathews thought he had the ranch sold or nearly so, but that instead of getting the Doctor to go up on Sunday
as he expected to settle the matter, Mr. Bush took him to see some farm in Pechico Valley - so I suppose that ends it as far
as we are concerned. I hear that Swett is offered a place on the board of Normal School Trustees. He must accept it. Try your
persuasion on him when you see him. Send no pears. Make Frank give the fallen ones to the horses cow. Will probably be home
Saturday evening. Call for me then should you hear nothing later Love to all Yrs John Muir- 01394
