Cairo, Feb 1 91 I have put Juek's? girdle round the globe for I was here in 68. Your wife s letter to mine greeted. Am now
sorry I did not go to Martinez I was in a hurry. Gave 50 days each to Japan China India. Steamed 1400 ms? on Yang-Tse, Thus
far into the bowels of the land . The continents are disparates not comparates I thank God for actual vision of all. O how
small my cup how great the view Why have I this golden chance denied to those who deserve it more. My wife and girls winter
in Thomasville, Ga? . My regrets are two 1. that I did not travel sooner 2. that neither of my girls is a partaker of my happiness
