letterhead SEQUOIA, TUOLUMNE, CO., CAL., July 26 1904 Dear Mama We are back at Crocker's once more resting. It is pretty
hot here but as I have a little cold it is good for me. Our trip is about over, and we will be home in about a week will let
you know later. I found I could not walk as I used to, on this trip, but have enjoyed it all wonderfully. Wanda and Helen
Sweet climbed Mt. Lyell with the club, but I did not attempt it. Wanda enjoyed it wonderfully and is thankful that she went.
We left the meadows Thursday the 21st, camped at Lake Tenaya the first night and enjoyed it wonderfully. The moon was almost
full and the reflections in the lake were so beautiful it seemed too bad to sleep. The next day we went on to a beautiful
little spot in the silver fir forest near the Eagle Peak trail, and camped for Helen Swett and Ruth Vickey were going down
into Yosemite. The next morning we started out late after a long chase for the horses, and went as far as White Wolf. Then
down to Crocker's. We are enjoying the good meals here and I am gaining every day. Mr. Forbes has joined us just now he is
on his way down the Tuolumne Canyon. We will soon be home now. Tell papa we received his letter at Lake Tenaya. With love
to all. Ever yours Helen. 08546
