EDITORIAL ROOMS HOUGHTON MIFFLIN COMPANY 4 PARK. STREET June 4th, 1914. Dear Mr. Muir, We have had this morning a
call from Mr. Herbert w. Gleason. We see delighted to hear from him that you are making good progress on your Alaska book,
and that we may bope to have it in hand for publication sometime during next year .We have also been especially pleased to
find that as Mr. Gleason is going to Alaska this summer to take photographs for an illustrated lecture on that country, it
will be possible for us to arrange with him to take pictures for the illustration of your book. We gather that this plan has
your entire approval, so we assume that we may proceed and make the necessary arrangements with him. We believe that this
book by you, with illustrations of the excellence Mr. Gleason is sure to produce, will prove one of the most notable books
of its season .We shall be very glad indeed if you will, at your entire convenience, let us know a little more definitely
when we may hope.to have the book in hand. Please believe us, with best wishes for your summer, Faithfully yours, illegible
