Dear Mr. Johnson: Martinez, Dec. 24, 1908 Well done doing for you. Let us keep hammering the Vandals we will beat them
yet. Hon. S. C. Smith, Hon. W. F. Englebright, Hon. Frank Mondell (Chairman of Committee on Public Lands), House of Representatives,
are all with us I believe. It seems incredible that so barbarous a step backward as the destruction of a Yosemite Valley
could possible be taken by Congress, or that such a question could game a hearing anywhere in Civilization- Good luck good
