1 Daggett, Aug. 31 - Dear Papa - I got your telegram yesterday evening and answered it soon after it came. But by now
you surely must have my letter in answer to the first one you sent from Pelican Lodge. This afternoon your second letter came,
saying that you would stay till the Harrimans left. It will do you good, and Im so glad you can be with such good friends.
Dont worry about me - Im 04272 2 well as can be, gaining in weight and strength, and am contented and cheerful. Im delighted
to find that I can enjoy little short walks in the cool of the evening, and not feel tired - that encourages me a great deal,
for a while ago I couldn't walk at all. The weather is perfect - warm and sunny but not hotter than 95 or 100 , with calm
beautiful nights. No more rain. All wish to be kindly remembered. Lovingly yours Helen 04272
