424 Seventh Avenue, Pelham, N.Y., March 31, 1912. Dear John Of Mountains : I hear you are back again, actually having
withdrawn from the spell of your beloved auracharia (I don't know how to spell it). Now if you go West without coming to see
me in my little Swiss chalet out here in Pelham, I shall be sure you care for your millionaire friends more than you do for
those who shared the wealth of the Grand Canyon and Yosemite with you. I am out here since mid-January, and now have a center
of my own and all my belongings about me. Mr. and Mrs. Burroughs came here last night on their return from Washington, for
a week or so. He will be 75 on next Wed., April 3. I am asking just a few to come out from N.Y. and greet him (it takes only
30 minutes from the Grand Central). Any time in the p.m. between 3 5. I'm asking Mr. Johnson to get on your trail if he can
and pilot you here. Won't you come? If not, on that date, then some other day soon, since you don't like to be tire to the
calendar. I want to hear about your wanderings. Sincerely yours, Clara Barrus
