Description:
A man stands next to a multiple row seed drill to which are hitched ten mules. Visible in the ground are evenly spaced rows.
The seed to be sown is kept in the wooden box atop the drill. The driver guides the mules to pull the seed drill in a straight
line. The machine cuts small channels (rows) in the soil, drops the seed while the chains drag behind to move the dirt and
lightly cover the newly planted seeds. Verso: John Hinkson circa 1910.
