Martinez, Cal. May 14, 1908 Dear Mr. Johnson. I wish I could give you all the magazine stuff you want, but these eventful
days are all but barren of everything but distracting cares great small. Anyhow I never as you know can be counted on for
articles to order while many things my mine surpass in interest theological upbringing. The Goverment seems to have made
a great mistake on the Hetch Hetchy question believing the grossest preposterous misstatements in spite of all that nature
lovers could say However the Valley will escape damming most likely in our day at least. Faithfully yours John Muir Pinchot
