is thriving finely Mrs Reid was up too and Hendry Duncan, who missed you boys much I guess for they had no such fun as they
used to have at new year. If you have seen Mrs Parkins lately I suppose she would tell you we had twice a visit from her while
she was up this way she seems to be quite a pleasant person I think, and one that will not let you weary in her company she
was inquiring after you she said she had told you to come back again and as you had not come she thought you must be up here
yet What do you think of the war news now, I guess you would laugh if you knew how much I am interested in Politics now if
England comes in to play a part there will be some more stir among the Yankee's will ther not but I suppose you don't take
up your mind much about such things Chemistry and all the angles will put such things fairly in the shade do I guess right
tell me I will send you two pieces of poetry tell me what you think of them Now now John I want you to tell me all about
