227 North Capital Avenue Indianapolis March 16, 1895 My dear Mr Muir. I did not want to write to you until I should
have read your book, so that I could tell you exactly what I think of it. But I must not delay longer or you will think me
an ingrate, a reprebate, and everything bad. I am really very grateful for the kind remembrance and for the beautiful book,
the noble book, as the Dial calls it, and well calls it I judge from as much as I have read. You ought to be a happy man,
Mr Muir, to have had the time and the opportunity and the soul to do such a thing. You have expressed your own joy in God's
beautiful creations and you are leading others to appreciate it. To have done any one thing well, even the smallest, is something
to be very thankful for and very glad of. Here you have done one of several things well. I hope you will live long to enjoy
