Pipeline built in 1906 to pump water from East Whittier, Calif. to La Habra, Calif. The water originated in artesian wells
on the San Gabriel River near Basset, and then flowed to East Whittier by flume and conduit. Photograph appears to have been
taken when pipeline was freshly laid, in 1906.
