MANAGER. W. H. SIMPSON, Advertising Agent. W. J. BLACK, Passenger Traffic Manager. Chicago, May 31,1906. NEW DISCOVERIES
PETRIFIED FOREST Mr. John Muir, Martinez, California. Dear Sir: Mr. Arthur Chapman is a newspaper syndicate writer living
in Denver. He was recently asked by the Sunday editor of the Globe-Democrat-to furnish an article about the Petrified Forest,
and wrote to me for particulars as to anything new there. Have taken the liberty of briefly mentioning your discoveries,
as it is good advertising for the Santa Fe. Should Mr. Chapman write you, he is not entitled to any more facts, unless perfectly
agreeable to you to furnish them. Yours truly, illegible 03735
