Baines Avenue Salisbury Rhodesia 13 Decr 1912 Dear Professor Muir It was most kind of you to send me a copy of your
book Stickeen some months ago I hope you will accept my apologies for the delay in expressing my thanks for the book the kindly
thought which prompted the sending of it. I have found it very interesting as have also many of my friends to whom it has
been lent. I trust the remainder of your tour after we parted at Umtali? passed off pleasantly, profitably from the scientific
point of view that some day you wil pay another visit to this land of beautiful mountains rolling plains. If you do my wife
I will be pleased to put you up give you a good time. Let me conclude with the best wishes for a Happy Xmas a Joyous New Year.
