such a delightful day with you, and accepting so fully of your kind hospitality courtesies. I confess I write this request
reluctantly. However it is not for myself but for the boys and girls in our schools in whom I am interested and to whom you
have already given so much. Will you give us, at our wish, one thing more? We want a better picture of you than has been taken.
One that is suitable for the school room that the pupils may come to know you as they read your delightful writings. In view
of this request I located in San Francisco the best portrait artist called on him. I found in his studio fine pictures of
