Very like you have received word form Mr. Bernays before this. It will always be a matter for regret to me to have missed
that wonderful trip with you. But it could not be helped, tho I thank you your kindly thought--even to your wish to save me
expense. The dangers and hardships would not have frightened me. Even had they been much greater, the pleasure and profit
of a trip with the inspiration of your enthusiasm and your knowledge always at hand would have far outweighed all else. I
