THE SECRETARY OF THE INTERIOR WASHINGTON Seattle. Washington, Sept. 3, 1910. My dear Mr. Bade: Your letter of the 22nd
ultimo with enclosure hasbeen forwarded me from Washington. I have read the editorial prepared for the Independent with much
interest and have been for some time impressed with the disingenuous methods of the parties you mention, not only in this
case, but in others. Sincerely yours, Secretary. Mr. William Frederic Bade, Vice President, Society-for Preservation
National Parks, Berkely, California.
