Garrisons on Hudson N. Y. June 30, 1911 Darling Helen, I'm glad you're going to the cool mountains out of those hot
winds so trying to eyes and general health. You can't be too careful of yourself in every way for your own your babes sake
your husband's mine, not to mention a host of others. I'm afraid the nourishing of your child is too great a drain on your
strength. Can you not in some part feed him on Mellin's? or other food or cows milk diluted sweetened? Consult the doctor
on this. I've been at Yale got an honorary Doc. Litt. with great accompanying honors. Am now at Professor Osborn's summer
home working on my Yosemite book. All the publishers like my autobio book. I'll be anxious for more letters. Send them to
Garrisons on Hudson N.Y. c/o Professor H. F. Osborn. Ever devotedly your loving Father
