Brisbane Western Days Parade
Description:
Car float at Western Days Parade, circa 1950s. This was taken at the corner of Visitacion and San Francisco Streets. There
was a ball park and across the street was Dick's Tower, where you could get a great dinner and dance. The early Western Days
were fun and mainly Brisbane residents joined in the fun. The kids all dressed in straw hats, loved the games that clubs
provided. It was "good times for all." Later it became crowded and rowdy, the fun was gone.
