Martinez Cal Sep 24, 1893 My Dear Bro' John I was glad to her today of the telegram received by Louie last eve telling
us of your safe arrival in New-York. Welcome home from Europe your childhoods home to Wis' where we were all boys girls together
I would like to be with mother and the girls and see you there once more and have a good talk with them all but as that cannot
be I will just bide a wee in this corner of the vine yard till you reach California and the Home-nest. then rejoice with you
and yours that the good Lord' has watched over you brought you to us again in safety through so many seen unseen dangers.
The Folks are all pretty well though Louie has had quite a hard time with Neuralgia. Every body interested is hard at work
among the grapes Love to Mother Sisters, affectionately Maggie 01734
