Post card addressed Wanda Muir, Martinez, California, U.S.A. Near Lucerne, Aug. 11, 1893. Dear Wanda: On top of this
Swiss mountain you see the view on this card. It is one of the very finest I ever enjoyed - hundreds of peaks and hills and
mountains and glaciers with hundreds of little farms and cottages and lakes in the valleys far below, clouds of every form
and color lingering, marching, rising, sinking, forming, fading. Sunshine streaming throu ;h their fringes, falling in glowing
silver on their domes and swelling bosses and making lovely ourple shadows in the hollows. Broad spaces of silvery shimmering
spangles on the Lowland lakes. With much love, J. M. 686t
