Century Club, New York, Oct. 1, 1914. Dear Muir: Thank you with all my heart for your last letter. I'm delighted and
relieved to know that you are better. Keep it up. Here are some more lines I want you to see. In about a week you will receive
the ballot for the two vacancies in the Academy. As there are now 48 members each candidate must have 25, so don't fail to
vote for the two men - Gilbert and Wm. Roscoe Thayer. Gilbert you met. He did the Woolworth Building, The N.Y. Custom House,
and half a dozen capitols in the West-Wisconsin, Minnesota, Arkansas, and others. I have rented my house to Owen who has
a big family, his two daughters having just come back from Italy, so we are homeless I'm writing a good deal of verse and
some reminiscences. Be very good to yourself if you wish to please, Your faithful and affectionate friend, R. U. Johnson05859
