letterhead SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA, March 7, 1907. Mr. John Muir, Martinez, Cal. My dear sir:- I write to ascertain
whether we can secure you to lecture for us at the University of the Pacific at some date within the next few weeks, and what
would be your ter illegible s. It would be a very great pleasure to our Faculty students to have you address them. March 29
(Friday), at 8 P.M., would be the most favorable date for us, but if you would prefer some other date we could probably arrange
for such evening as would best please you. Perhaps you could name two or three dates, from which we could select. If you can
come, what theme would you prefer to speak on? Our university is located about a mile from San Jose. 03843
