ca 1 Nov 1909 Dear Mr Colby Here is the paragraph in the Presidents M illegible age in which the Yo park is mentioned.
I urge that all our national parks adjacent to national forests be placed completely under the control of the forest service
of the agricultural department. xxxx The need for this course is peculiarly great in the Yellowstone Park. This, like the
Yosemite, is a great wonderland, should be kept as a national playground. In both all wild things should be protected the
scenery kept wholly unmarred. Did Caspar W. Hodgson send you copies of his protest on the H. H.? They are mighty lovely outspoken
I'll send you my copies if you haven't them. Another fine one from a very able influential man - Prof. White I sent his full
