Fort Wrangel, Alaska. March 7, 1880. Dear Friend Muir; Another fine specimen of glacial mud is on exhibition at our house.
We call this our Margaret? Alaska which is being interpreted you know the Alaska Pearl a fitting name? for this bivalious
coast. Feb. 27 is the dat. Yours of Dec. 17 has just arrived which is the latest word received from you. A glacial letter
