1 Daggett, Cal. Aug 27 - Dear Papa - I got your cheery letter from the Harriman's Camp yesterday, and we were all so
glad to hear from you. It does me good to hear that you are being kept so steadily at work dictating. Mr H is all right.
Ive been sending a few lines every other day to 04270 2 Martinez, to let you know alls well with me, for I didnt know
just where to reach you direct. Everything is going well on the alfalfa ranch. The rabbits are not so numerous just now. Cooler
weather is here, some days it dont go above 95 on my porch, but there has been no more rain. The days are clear and bright,
when it is a joy to live and ride. 04270 3 Mr John Van Dyke left about a week ago. Im sending you three snapshots I
took of you three great people - they may amuse you when you are tired composing articles. The Funks and Van Dykes want to
be remembered to you. Ill write to the address you gave me until you tell me you're going home. Always yours lovingly
Helen 04270
