letterhead Do you expect to visit Kern River Canon diacritic this summer with the Sierra Club? If you do, there are two
places which you as Ganger of gorges and Inspector of Gulches, should visit. One is the canon diacritic running parallel with
Kern River and which was once, apparently, the bed of that stream. The other is the canon diacritic of the Little Kern, the
wildest canon diacritic or ch illegible I have seen in the mountains. It is about six miles long and no one has passed through
it. Both will be near the Sierra Club's permanent camp, that is, within a few miles of it. By mail to-day I send you copies
of Overland Monthly with article on the Poetry of the Polynesians. I got to work on it after my return from the mountains
