Martinez, June, 8th 1898. My dear Sellers. I had a charming group of mountain days in the Sierra Washoe Mountains after
I left you, but I was too early for the fir flowers I was seeking. I have just returned from a weeks trip to Mt Shasta but
have again failed to find the magnifica flowers. I had a good time however in the snow bracing air. I saw Keith yesterday
found him about as semisane as usual greatly enjoying the Nicoliana you sent him, Mine also came to hand is very fine. I may
possibly drift East sometime this summer attracted by the Atlantic forests trusting that the grippe is gone all is well with
you I am cordially yours John Muir
