Great Britain, Scotland, Stronachlachar: Loch Katrine in the heart of the Trossachs is 364 ft. above sea level. This is the head of the lovely Loch named by Sir Walter Scott [as] Loch Cataran, or the loch of the robbers, is about five miles thro [through] Glen Arklet to Inversnaid on Loch Lomond, a territory associated with the MacGregors, particularly with Rob Roy.
