12, Rosamore? Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. John Muir, My dear Sir, In a recently written essay on American nature-lovers,
it has been my privilege and pleasure to refer to your Mountains of California and the Altlantic Monthly essays. The editor
who holds my article wants some illustrations - which fact I mentioned to Mr. Robert Underwood Johnson (who presented 02195
me with your book); he said he would write you and ask if you could track down for me any photographs of yourself, of your
glorious country - of flower-meadows and glacier-flanked mountains. If there is any photograph dealer in your vicinity who
has such reproductions as would serve for illustrations, may I ask you for his name and whereabouts? Trusting not to be making
an intrusive or burdensome request very truly, Anna Blanche McGill.
