letterhead November 14, 1914. Dr. Jno. Muir, Pres. Sierra Club. Dear Sir,- On Dec. 26 and 27, the So. Cal. Section
of the Sierra Club is to hold its annual Christmas Holiday outing at Muir Lodge. I have been appointed leader for this outing.
We are very anxious to have Muir Lodge graced by your presence in the near future. Can you not be present at this Christmas
celebration? From the end of the electric car line at Sierra Madre we should have an animal at your disposal for the seven
mile trip up the Santa Anita. We will have our mountain cheer on tap, but the greatest cheer would come to us in your presence.
Trusting to hear favorably from you in the near future, I am sincerely yours, Everett Shepardson, (Ch illegible Ex. Com.
So. Cal. Section of Sierra Club), 939 N. Normandie Ave., Los Angeles, Cal. 05881
