HARPER BROTHERS FRANKLIN SQUARE,NEW YORK ART DEPARTMENT April 28, 1897. Dear Sir:-- The illustration of your article
on The national Parksand Forest Reservations, is referred to me. Before using any of the illustrative material, which you
kindly sent us, it will be necessary to get the photographers' consents to use their pictures. Will you kindly procure this
for us, or else send us their addresses which are not given on the photographs, so that we say communicate directly with them?
In addition to the photographs you inclose to us three clippings from some publication. We would prefer the original photographs
from which these were taken, but if this should not be possible we would have to get the consent of the papers(if they are
the owners of the negatives) or of the photographers before we could utilize them. The list of pictures is as follows: Echo
