Our first meeting photo I took while with him first in Hetch-Hetchy Martinez, Nov. 6, 1907 Dear Mr Lukens. I wrote you
two or three days ago, before the arrival of your acknowledging the fine lot of Hetch Hetchy photo's The one of myself resting
on the trail vividly recalls our first meeting. I do not wonder at your liking for Calkins. He is a capital fellow everyway.
I have no definite news from Washington. Pinchot is not as strongly in favor of damming the Valley as he was, I hope all will
yet be well. The Sellers wrote me they would leave Chicago for Pasadena Oct. 27th so they should have arrived several days
ago, but I have not heard from the I wish you would look them up let me know. Tell them I sent a letter the other day to
Hotel Green, thinking they might be there until there house was made ready. With love to you all John Muir
