01569 Portage Wis. Apr. 18. 1892 My dear Wanda- The people here who have heard so much about you all keep asking Why
did you not bring Wanda she is old enough to travel just think what a joy it would be to grandma Muir to see her at least
once. I have been feeling stupid headachy since coming here. Yesterday I went to church with mother, many of the old acquaintances
came up spoke to me. This country seems cold flat compared with Cal. Ill tell you about the places things I saw? when I get
